LOUISVILLE, Ky—November 19, 2025 — Following the tragic November 4th crash of a UPS cargo jet at Muhammed Ali International Airport in Louisville, AAF International, a member of the Daikin Group and global leader in air filtration solutions, is offering free air filter replacements to city residents.
AAF has set up a special webpage where homeowners can go www.cleanairforlouisville.com to claim their complimentary filters. Once at the site, they can simply fill out a form, and AAF will deliver filters to their homes in the coming weeks. The deadline to claim a complimentary filter is December 1, 2025.
“We are deeply saddened by these events, and our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and those in our community who were impacted,” said Paul Sennett, Chief Operating Officer, AAF International. “Louisville is AAF’s hometown, and we deeply care about this community.”
AAF is strongly encouraging all area residents to change their air filters to prevent any residual fire particulates from entering interior spaces, potentially affecting those with breathing issues or heart conditions. “While the fire has been extinguished, microscopic and potentially dangerous particulates may still be circulating throughout the atmosphere and into HVAC systems,” adds Sennett.
Every Louisville resident who registers will receive an upgraded MERV-13 filter. MERV-13 filters are designed to more effectively filter out the fire and smoke particulates by 75%-80% over traditional MERV-8 filters. Air filters are very easy to change in a home’s HVAC system. Residents should take their used filters and dispose of them in a closed plastic bag to avoid any contaminants from being released.
“We are grateful to our partners at the Greater Louisville Chamber of Commerce and the Louisville Community Resource Center for their support in helping AAF to spread the word to local businesses and residents to help them breathe easier,” concludes Sennett.
