Blend nanofiber ASC filter for gas turbines

The DuraPak BN has been specifically designed to protect gas turbines in high dust load environments. It has excellent filtration properties and superior dust release during pulse cycles, resulting in increased machine availability and reduced maintenance costs.

The DuraPak BN is a direct replacement to existing ASC filter houses without modification to the holding arrangement. Its high F9 (MERV 15) efficiency will lower engine performance losses. The superior dust release and pulse recovery ensures pressure drop remains low, contributing to lower compressed air usage and reduced energy costs. When these factors are combined with the high dust holding capacity of the DuraPak BN the result is a longer usable filter life.

AAF’s ASC System transforms GT performance in the UAE

The site in question operates several gas turbines in Dubai, UAE at an Aluminium Smelter. All originally fitted with reverse pulse cartridge systems, the operator could not achieve a filter life beyond 9 months. There was also evidence of compressor fouling and hence reduced engine performance. An ASC Filtration System was installed and the results showed a step change in performance levels.
