AAF Flanders and IONaer Collaborate to Launch Breakthrough Indoor Air Purification and Monitoring System

CleanAir EXP’s advanced smart technology enables consumers to optimize indoor air quality
in any residential or commercial building the same way a thermostat controls air temperature

(LOUISVILLE, KY / PHOENIX, AZ) – According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Americans spend about 90 percent of their time indoors, where the air can be up to 100 times more polluted than the air outside. That’s why American Air Filter Co. Inc., d/b/a AAF International, and its subsidiary Flanders Corp. (“AAF Flanders”), is collaborating with IONaer International LLC to help launch the CleanAir EXP Purification System, a revolutionary air purification and monitoring solution that combines the most sophisticated in-room sensors with the latest air purification technology to clean indoor air of allergens, pathogens, odors, smoke, mold, ozone and harmful chemicals. For the first time ever, the power to manage and control indoor air quality (IAQ) in real time is in the hands of the consumer.

Working with a home or office’s existing heater or air conditioner, the CleanAir EXP’s intelligent, responsive technology works on-demand, enabling consumers to manage their indoor air quality 24/7 in the same way a thermostat works with a HVAC system to control air temperature. The CleanAir EXP’s Air Quality Sensor continuously monitors IAQ, sending minute-by-minute data to the EXP In-Room Monitor, or an app on any smart device, and alerts the EXP Purification unit to turn on or off, based on the air quality requirements set by each user.

The CleanAir EXP’s purification unit is easily installed into the existing air duct of a central residential or commercial HVAC system and uses a patented natural ionization process to cause particles containing harmful allergens, gases, odors and pathogens to cluster and drop out of the breathable zone throughout the entire building. Most homes and facilities see a 90 percent reduction of particulates and contaminants within four hours of first using the purification technology, and 99.8 percent reduction in six hours or less. The newly clean environment then remains clean as changes in IAQ are detected by the system’s sensors, and the purification unit is activated as needed to preserve healthy air quality levels. In two years of field testing across residential homes and commercial facilities, occupants report that the clean air created by CleanAir EXP has significantly reduced or eliminated asthma and allergy symptoms, eradicated odors, and improved overall health, wellness and productivity in their homes and buildings.

“Our mission is to bring clean air to life, and we are continually looking for new and better ways to do that,” said Jerry McGuire, Vice President of Global Marketing for AAF Flanders. “We’ve been following IONaer’s progress with this game-changing technology for the past two years, and the results have been nothing short of incredible. Many people don’t realize the huge impact poor IAQ can have on our health and wellbeing, especially for those struggling with extremely challenging respiratory conditions like asthma. CleanAir EXP has the potential to change people’s lives like no other air filtration technology available today, and we are excited to help bring it to market.”

“Until now, air filtration companies could only deliver clean air into the occupied space, but they could not completely manage the air quality. All of that changes today,” said IONaer President & CEO, Tim Bender. “For decades, we have known about the harmful effects of poor IAQ, but have not been able to control it because we can’t fully control the occupied space. Doors open, people move, electronics and furniture emit harmful pollutants, and chemicals are used to clean the space or mask odors. All of those products and events drive up pollution levels inside of a home or building, and we suffer the consequences. That’s why we’re so excited to offer this revolutionary new product to the market. Every building in the world should have this technology, so that we can all breathe clean, healthy indoor air.”

During a 30-day pre-sale period, AAF Flanders has arranged to help IONaer bring the first 1,000 publicly available units of CleanAir EXP to consumers and businesses in select greater metropolitan markets, including Louisville, Ky., Phoenix, Ariz., Raleigh, N.C., Tulsa, Okla., Kansas City, Mo., Tampa, Fla., Albany, N.Y., Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and Chicago. The companies will be providing free shipping and installation within a 100-mile radius of these geographies.

Residential units will be available at a promotional price of $1,495 during the pre-sale period, ending on March 31st, 2019, and commercial systems will be customized to meet local facility requirements and quoted accordingly. In addition, as part of their commitment to making indoor air cleaner and safer around the globe, for every 10 CleanAir EXP Purification Systems sold during the pre-sale period, the companies will donate and install one unit in the home or classroom of a child in need with asthma or other challenging respiratory issue.
